Moxa Rules

Ted Block Acupuncture LogoItems to have on hand:

1 very good lighter
1 wet washcloth
1 ash tray
1 tube burn cream
1 cup ••• NOT paper ••• of water

Never touch lit moxa to your skin.
Always keep two fingers in contact with skin adjacent to area being treated, if your fingers get too hot, you can be sure that your skin around the area being treated is too hot too.
When you put out the moxa please use the ashtray or the special moxa holder custom made for you.

A moxa session should be done in well ventilated room, and should not last longer than thwenty minutes.
